El Nuevo Periodico

Muchas gracias to the fashion editors at El Nuevo Periodico newspaper for pointing out to their readers that revelers loved red for the holiday season because the color is so festive.  And, as we all know, what woman doesn't feel sensuous in any shade of red. El Nuevo Periodico Planning on wearing a red dress to a holiday party?  The editors at El Periodico remind you that, depending on the event, you can dress up or dress down a red dress depending on your accessories.  Slip on classic black pumps and pearl earrings and necklace for a polished look at the office holiday bash.  Bring on the glitz and head- to-toe-glam slipping on silver high heels and rhinestone earrings when you step out to sparkle at a holiday gala. Are you someone who feels just a little intimidated wearing red?  Remember,  legendary designers like Valentino favor red for bold, dramatic evening gowns.  Be confident you can pull off the color of passion!

 El Expresso

Sydney's Closet caught the eye of editors at El Expresso newspaper in Puerto Rico who noted with Christmas just weeks the new Celebrations Collection lets curvy girls  find  fashionable dresses that truly flatter their figures. " We are always looking for ways to accentuate our individual silhouette,"  they wrote adding Puerto Rico girls have a tendency for having voluptuous figures.  The editors loved the   "minimalist styles" I designed.  I created those style to deliberately avoid adding volume to the full figure.  Who needs all those fussy details to have fun at a fiesta! The wise editors caution readers to avoid waiting to shop until the last minute if you want to stand out as a holiday bash.  I couldn't agree more!.  You will be very glad you planned ahead. As the article says, and we translate:  "If you look good, you will feel good and you will have more fun!"

Diario Las Americas

diariolasamericas2 Closer to home in Miami, writer  Yadira Velez Martinez offered readers of Diario Las Americas tips on choosing the perfect plus size holiday party dress.  Avoid:
  • light colors if you're bottom heavy; instead stick with this season's must-have colors of red, gray and black
  • belts if your hips are wide or you'll highlight what you want to conceal
  • pleats that only add unwanted volume to a full figure
Thanks to Yadira for spotlighting our "Razzle Dazzle" little black  dress in sequins as a glam option for sparkling at holiday fiestas!
