Going to a 2012 Homecoming dance this fall or winter?

You’ll want to dress up for what hopefully is a victory party after the big game! Just how fancy you dress depends on your school.

At some high schools, teens favor homecoming dresses less fancy preferring to wear trendy styles in short dresses with hems that hit the knee or tea-length. Cocktail dresses and semi-formal dresses are perfect for informal Homecoming dances for a sexy, flirty and fun look. Consider a little black dress you can wear again and again! Accessorize it with fun jewelry and a shawl for the chill in the Fall night air.

At other schools, girls go all out favoring Homecoming dresses so glitzy and glam they look more like a Prom dress. If your dance is this dressy, go for a long formal gown or even a ball gown.

Unsure what to wear?

Look at pictures of last year’s dance. Ask friends who went to Homecoming or check with a teacher who chaperones the dance. Then you’re sure to score a fashion touchdown!
