St. Louis Trunk Show Marks National Debut of
Designer Prom Dresses in Plus Sizes
Sydney's Closet, a plus size dress shop, kicks off the 2008 Prom shopping season with a trunk show Monday, Jan. 21 showcasing award-winning Alyce Designs new collection of Plus Size Prom Gowns that flatter teens sizes 16W to 28W. The free event coincides with schools closing for Martin Luther King's Birthday.
St. Louis, MO Jan. 16, 2008 - - Sydney’s Closet, a dress shop in suburban St. Louis, hosts the country’s first Trunk Show showcasing the new collection of plus size Prom dresses by award-winning Alyce Designs. The free event takes place Monday, January 21, 2008 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Sydney’s Closet, 11840 Dorsett Road, Maryland Heights in The Trades Building.
“The event coincides with the closing of school for Martin Luther King’s Birthday, traditionally the day teen-age girls across America kick off the Prom shopping season,” says Phyllis Brasch Librach, president and founder of Sydney’s Closet.
Alyce Designs introduces their first plus size prom dress collection in hard-to-find sizes 16W to 28W. The figure-flattering designs include taffeta ball gowns, organza A-lines and sexy beaded halters in hot colors for Prom 2008: gold, turquoise, chocolate and violet.
Guests will be treated to refreshments, goody bags, prizes, special discounts, a chance to win a dress plus a one-on-one session with a dress-up consultant on what not to wear to Prom 2008.
