When & why did you start selling formal wear?

DG has been selling formal wear for the full 10 years we've been open! April, the owner, loves working with young girls to create their perfect look for a memorable night!

They will have a dedicated and experienced consultant helping them choose their gowns; also, every gown is hand picked by our fashionable staff based off current trends!

What is unique about your store?

We have one of the largest selections in town, specifically curated to meet a wide variety of styles.

What do you love about Sydney's Closet?

We love that the line caters specifically to curvier girls!

What characteristic do you most admire in your staff?

I admire the outgoing initiative each member of my staff has; they are truly dedicated to their prom girls!

What trends are you noticing for prom this year?

We're seeing a lot of simplicity; classy fabrics, simple patterns, whimsical colors!

Describe the biggest accomplishment so far for your business.

This year, DG turns 10! We are so proud to be a staple business in our neighborhood and also be a first-stop, only-stop boutique for so many women!

What is the best business advice you have been given?

"You can't lead people in a direction you, yourself, don't want to go."

Which celebrity would you love to have walk into your store? Why?

Zendaya! We'd love to style her, both in gowns and menswear.

We want new customers to expect great customer service while having a fun, body-positive experience!

What has surprised you the most about the prom industry?

The trends in formal wear are changing so rapidly! We enjoy the challenge of curating new collections every year!
